What is a router?
Every internet setup consists of a modem and a router. Modems connect your home to the internet while routers link up to the modem to allow access to the internet via a wired or wireless connection.

What is a WPS on a router?
WPS or Wi-Fi Protected Setup is a feature which allows devices to connect to a secure wireless network without a password. Rather than manually entering a password to join an SSID or network, devices can instantly connect by pushing the WPS button on their router.
Some routers permit connection to the internet via an 8-digit pin number found on the router while others support NFC (Near Field Communication) which allows you to connect your device by bringing it closer to the router.
