The Synology RackStation RS3618xs 12-Bay Diskless Rackmount NAS (RS3618xs) delivers excellent network storage performance as a file server,  a host for virtualisation environments, a private mail server, or a backup destination.  Designed for large-sized businesses, the RackStation RS3618xs NAS features a server-class 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Xeon D-1521 processor, an 8GB memory module pre-installed in one of its four DDR4 memory slots, 12 drive bays compatible with 3.5"/2.5" SATA HDDs and 2.5" SATA SSDs, four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, two USB 3.0 ports, dual Gen3 x8 PCIe slots, and two expansion slots.
