Superfast drive speeds
Thanks to the use of the latest generation of Samsung V-NAND and TurboWrite technology, along with the updated Phoenix controller, the Samsung 970 Evo 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD delivers super fast read/write speeds of up to 3,500/2000 MBs respectively. The latest version of TurboWrite also increases the TurboWrite region on the drive – by as much as 42GB for this 1TB model – allowing users to transfer large files without suffering the performance degradation which is often found on other drives.
High-performance drives often suffer from degraded performance as they get older and don’t last as long as standard drives due to the amount of heat created during the read/write process. The Samsung 970 Evo 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD solves this problem by using Dynamic Thermal Guard (DTG) which helps to dissipate the heat created by the drive. The new Phoenix controller also comes with a new nickel coating which helps to dissipate heat. All this means that the 970 series drives come with an industry leading 5-year or 1,200 terabytes written warranty, more than 50% higher than the previous generation 960 Evo drives.
