An evolution of Samsung’s popular 850 Evo drive, which was the first domestic drive to introduce V-NAND technology, the 860 Evo offers improvements in reliability, speed and capacity over its predecessor.
The Samsung 860 Evo 500GB SATA M.2 SSD uses an updated version of Samsung V-NAND technology which offers improved data transfer speeds over longer periods of time. The drive also uses an improved version of Samsung TurboWrite technology which can automatically increase the amount of allocated space on the TurboWrite region of the drive, increasing the available TurboWrite drive space by more than 6x compared to the previous generation.
