The IBM LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning cartridge 35L2086 is designed for use in all IBM LTO Ultrium tape drives 1-9 including; LTO-1/LTO1/LTO 1, LTO-2/LTO2/LTO 2, LTO-3/LTO3/LTO 3, LTO-4/LTO4/LTO 4, LTO-5/LTO5/LTO 5, LTO-6/LTO6/LTO 6 LTO-7/LTO7/LTO 7, LTO-8/LTO8/LTO 8 and LTO-9/LTO9/LTO 9. The IBM LTO Ultrium Cleaning tape can be used in all brands of LTO Ultrium drives carry the LTO Ultrium Logo.

The 50 clean IBM brand Ultrium cleaning cartridges can be used to clean all LTO Ultrium tape drives. The IBM brand cleaning cartridges are specifically matched to the heads and tape path components used in IBM Ultrium tape products. Each cleaning cartridge contains a memory module used for identification of the cartridge.

DRIVE CLEANING: Use this LTO Ultrium cleaning cartridge whenever the drive has a 'C' displayed on the unit and the status light is off. Load the LTO cleaning cartridge into the drive cartridge entry compartment. The drive unit will then clean the drive automatically and when finished, eject the cartridge.

CARTRIDGE STORAGE: To prevent condensation and for long life, the IBM LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridge should only be operated in or stored in the following environments.

CARTRIDGE OPERATING ENVIRONMENT: 10-45 degrees Celsius/Centigrade and 20-80% Humidity

CARTRIDGE STORAGE ENVIRONMENT: 16-35 degrees Celsius/Centigrade and 20-80% Humidity

CARTRIDGE HANDLING: Handle the IBM LTO cartridge carefully. It may be damaged or degraded if it is dropped. Labels should be placed on the front side of the cartridge in the recessed area. Do not put labels anywhere else on the cartridge as this can damage the drive or cause load errors. When not in use IBM LTO cartridges should be stored and transported in their plastic clam-shell case. Do not store cartridges in direct sunlight.
