The flimsy little apple cable that came with my iPhone is finally too precarious to want to leave unattended (as usual with Apple products, the plastic is separating around the "collar" near the USB plug), so I found myself in the market for a new cable. I''ve tried a few of the cheapo retractable guys that you can pick up for a buck or two, and although I like the concept, they were all so cheaply made that they fell apart at unpredictable and inconvenient times while I was traveling. So, I wanted something a bit sturdier and more reliable. Tried around a few places (Apple Store, Best Buy), to no avail. Finally it occurred to me to check in the ATT store, and lo and behold, they had these cables (either bundled with a wall charging unit, or just as a plain cable). Turns out that the price was the same as the flimsy apple one, for a longer cable (4 feet) and a much much much sturdier construction. Yay, Belkin!
